The Saunders MS valve's unique frictionless operation is facilitated by it's unique triple offset design. The off center position of the shaft forms the double offset while the cone angle formed by the seat creates the third offset. The metal seal ring is resilient which forms to the seat, providing bi-directional bubble tight shutoff with a temperature range of -350 to 1500º F. Firesafe to API 607.
This style valve is an excellent alternative to gate valves and severe service ball valves. The quarter-turn rotary actuation makes it easier to operate and cheaper to automate. Other benefits include reduced maintenance and increased reliability.
Actuators have been pre-sized. Configure valve and then select actuators based on maximum shutoff pressure. Options include solenoid valves, limit switches, speed controls and manual overrides.

 Saunders Electric Actuated MS Butterfly Valves
The Saunders MS butterfly valves are actuated with Triac E Series electric actuators. Actuators are bracket mounted to valve with stainless steel mounting hardware.
Electric actuators are corrosion resistant NEMA 4X and are designed for maximum cycle life with rugged motors and gear trains. Standard features include (2) extra switches, compartment heater, and manual overrides.
